Who are we
Kunstvoll Artium Event (KAE) is a global music education platform founded in 2018 by
Sow Mun, Fan and co-founder Celeste Chong. We host world-class workshops, masterclasses,
and music competitions that celebrate artistic excellence across all instruments.
The name "Kunstvoll"—meaning masterfully executed and artistically refined—reflects our core belief: true musicianship transcends technical precision. As our founder eloquently expresses it: "Every touch on an instrument opens up an astonishing world of sonic colours."
This philosophy guides everything we do.
Our Mission
We unite musicians from all backgrounds, nationalities, and experience levels—from emerging talents to seasoned professionals—in a shared celebration of artistic excellence. We foster continuous growth, cultural exchange, and the development of the next generation of world-class performers through carefully curated events and meaningful opportunities for learning and connection.
What We Do
E-Artium Piano Competition & Festivals Series - Our flagship offering, launched in 2021, provides pianists with a platform to discover and showcase the full sonic richness of the instrument.
From 2021-2023, E-Artium served Malaysian musicians and residents, building a strong foundation of excellence. In 2024, we expanded internationally and now welcome participants from across Asia and beyond, including Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Taiwan, and China.
Workshops & Masterclasses - Led by internationally recognized musicians and educators, our educational programs provide valuable insights and skills development for all levels.
Global Community - We bring together musicians worldwide, creating connections that transcend geographical boundaries and foster a vibrant international community united by
passion for musical artistry.

Welcome and Foreword
We are privileged to extend a warm welcome to all participants of the 6th E-Artium Piano Competition and Festival 2026, taking place this October in Malaysia. We warmly invite young pianists and young professionals of all ages and skill levels to join this prestigious celebration of musical artistry.
This year’s competition features two editions: an Online Edition, allowing global participation through video performance submissions, and a Live Edition, held on 10–11 October 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, bringing together talented pianists from around the world.
The competition serves as an international platform for young pianists to showcase their talents, engage with peers, enrich their knowledge, and expand their artistic horizons. Simultaneously, the festival is a distinguished gathering of world-class teachers and performers, providing participants with an inspiring and immersive artistic experience. This dual purpose reflects our unwavering commitment to global standards of excellence and cross-cultural musical exchange.
Guided by a team of experienced professionals, the competition is dedicated to creating meaningful opportunities for aspiring young musicians. We extend our sincere thanks to Kawai Malaysia, our official Grand Piano sponsor, for providing exceptional grand pianos, supporting the highest standards of performance.
